The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Shimla has been nominated by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, to showcase the rich culinary heritage, traditional Himachali cuisine and authentic local flavours of Himachal Pradesh at Bharat Parv 2026, being held at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), Gujarat.
As informed by Dr. Mukul Dimri, Principal, IHM Shimla, the institute is proudly representing Himachal Pradesh through its Studio Kitchen, presenting the state’s distinctive culinary traditions, indigenous ingredients and authentic regional delicacies on this prestigious national platform.
A particularly memorable moment unfolded when a German couple visited the IHM Shimla stall and enthusiastically tasted every Himachali cuisine dish prepared by our Studio Kitchen. The couple expressed extraordinary appreciation and outstanding feedback after experiencing the authentic flavours of Himachal Pradesh, making the occasion a proud moment for the institute.
Their enthusiastic response beautifully reflects the universal appeal of Indian cuisine and the power of food in connecting cultures, promoting international understanding and strengthening India’s culinary tourism potential. ЁЯЗйЁЯЗктЭдя╕ПЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│
