Shimla Himdevnews 13 October 2022 Carlsberg India’s Paonta Sahib Brewery has been awarded the prestigious ‘CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2022′ and has been identified as a ‘Noteworthy Water Efficient Unit‘ in ‘Within the Fence‘ Category for Wastewater Reduction, Reuse and Recycle and optimization of natural resources at the Water Innovation Summit. At Carlsberg India’s breweries, it is our continuous attempts towards improvement of water optimization each time by implementing a fully collaborative commitment approach towards efficient water management in line with our ‘Together towards Zeroand Beyond’ concept.CII prioritizes water management through its Centre of Excellence on Water. The aim of the summit was to bring the collective intelligence of stakeholders to discuss water related challenges and brainstorm feasible solutions in coherence with the hydrological cycle. The theme for this year was “Being Future Ready: Water for All”. The award marks the recognition from CII for the leadership, vision, and efforts by CIPL in establishing path breaking practices in efficient water management. Towards ensuring efficient water management, Paonta Sahib brewery has a very robust system in place. The unit is taking measures towards prevention of water pollution, both the ground water and surface water with various state-of-the-art technologies.
